Camp Information - Summer 2013
Seminole Youth Soccer is proud to sponsor the Thirteenth Annual Patriot Soccer Camps at Lake Brantley
High School. Day camps are being offered to boys and girls ages 5-14. The camps are coed and will
be from 9:00 a.m until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday for Full-day campers, and from 9:00 a.m.
until 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday for Half-day campers. The camp will consist of one hour
sessions with breaks built into each session. There will be a one hour lunch and relaxation break.
Sessions will include technical instruction, fun games, and scrimmages. Campers
will be divided by age and skill level. When available, we will do some indoor sessions in the
afternoon in the Brantley South gym.
Camp Personnel
Camp Director, Danny Kirby is the Head Coach for the Lake Brantley Boys Varsity soccer
team and the League Director for Seminole Youth Soccer. Coach Kirby has coached at Lake Brantley for twenty years as
either the head Junior Varsity or head Varsity coach. His overall record in high school is 233 wins, 119 losses, and 52 ties.
In his twelve years as the Varsity Head Coach, the Patriots have 155 wins, 112 losses, and 42 ties. Coach Kirby has led the
Patriots to the state playoffs five times. Under his guidance, the Patriots have two conference titles, two district
titles, one regional title, and one appearance in the FHSAA final four tournament. He has been named Seminole Athletic
Conference Coach of the Year two times and Florida Athletic Coaches Association District Nine's coach of the year two times.
Coach Kirby is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and has been involved with the game
as a player or coach for over 35 years. He is a member of the Natioanal Soccer Coaches Assocition of America, Florida
Athletic Coaches Association and the Florida High School Activities Association. He holds an Advanced National Coach's
Certificate, a National Coach's Certificate, and Level 1 and Level 2 Goalkeeper Coach's Certificates from the National
Soccer Coaches Associtation of America.
Assitant Camp Director, William Diaz-Granados is the former Head Girls Varsity coach at Lake Brantley High School.
He has coached club and high school teams for twenty years. Coach Diaz-Granados was the head coach
for the boys or girls junior varsity teams at Lake Brantley for thirteen years. He was the head coach for the Girls
Varsity Soccer Team from 2008 and 2009. He currently coaches with Maitland Soccer Club. He holds degrees from Florida State
University, where he played for the club team, and the University of Central Florida. A native of Panama, he is an
avid soccer player who has played at the high school and collegiate levels. He is currently a
member of the Florida Athletic Coaches Association, the Florida High School Activities Association,
and he holds an 'E' license for the Florida Youth Soccer Association.
Other staff members will include high school coaches, college players, and current and past Lake Brantley High
School players.

What to Bring to Camp
All campers will receive a camp T-shirt when they arrive at the first session.
Campers will need to bring or wear the following things to each session.
* Shinguards, Soccer Shoes (Cleats), and Tennis Shoes
* Sunscreen
* Soccer Ball (w/campers name on it)
* Cooler with drinks or thermos with drinks.
* Snacks for break and a lunch
